Hiding body tags and neck strings

I think someone mentioned they pulled the neck string into the body to hide it. How did you do that? I tried but the cord was too big to get into fabric. Did you make a hole in the fabric or use an extra big needle to pull the cord into the fabric behind the neck?

On one of my dolls I stitched the neck strings to the body in the back because they kept getting in the way when dressing the doll. That keeps the strings out of the way but the stitching looks like she had major surgery. Kidney transplant perhaps? My brother gave a kidney so he has an impressive scar. I suppose my doll could have the same experience.

Body tags show at the waistline with cropped tops and some of the doll pants. To hide my doll's body tag, I used one of those tan, stretchy fabric fingertip or knuckle bandages. The fabric is almost the perfect color for the light skinned dolls and because the bandage is fabric, it hides the tag perfectly. I know it will eventually leave a residue on the doll body but I'd rather hide the tag than cut it off.

The last doll I sent to the doll hospital came back with the neck strings tucked into her torso. I called CS and asked why they did that and they were unable to tell me. I need to ask someone who knows something about her job. I think it's a good idea, though. I was just curious.

I just cut Addy's, kept the leftovers, and stuffed them inside. I hate the way they dangle out. HATE IT.
